Examination Intervals
Lifts used for lifting people must be examined every six months or at
intervals decided by drawing up your own scheme and ensuring that you
comply.
Other criteria requiring a thorough examination
(1) A new installation before going into service (Installation & Weight Test Certificate).
(2) Re-installation on a different vehicle.
(3) Following an accident or dangerous occurrence.
(4) Any significant changes in conditions of use.
(5) After long periods out of use.
(6) Any circumstances which effect the safe use of the lift.
Persons responsible for the above are the operators of the lift or
who have control in the workplace for the safe use of lifting
equipment.
